PURPOSE:To perform accurate judgment of adhering of the titled sensor, by providing the minimum value of an interval by the method, which judges the adhering of O2 sensor by utilizing the interval that crosses a slice level of an O2 sensor. CONSTITUTION:When the output interval of a sensor becomes shorter than a specified time owing to the pulsation of exhaust air as shown in the Figure, an interval time t'' is not adopted, but the specified time ta is made to be the reference for judgment. Thus the judging time for sticking does not become extremely short. This procedure is performed in accordance with a flow chart. With the specified times of the O2 interval (e.g., period of O2 sensor) as a reference, the sticking of the O2 sensor is judged. Then a limit is set for the reference. |
