PURPOSE:To obtain good resistance to leakage by tilting and forming a protruded seat near the opening section within a metal can toward the opening, bending the opening section of the metal can inside, locating the tip of a bent section while aligning with the tip of the protruded seat, and inserting and pressing a gasket therebetween. CONSTITUTION:An annular seat 11a formed along the inner surface near the opening section of a metal can 11 is tilted upward by an angle of 5 to 30 deg.. An insulating gasket 15 is molded using thermoplastic synthetic resin. A battery is completed by inserting a sollector rod 16 in the hollow section of an inside cylindrical section 151, while loading an outside cylindrical section 152 on the protruded seat 11a of the metal can 11 and an annular metal support body 17 on a step 154 and then a cathode sealing plate 18 on it, bending the opening section of the metal can 11 through a folding protruded wall 155, and pressing the upper part of the sealing plate 18. In this case, the bent section of the opening of the metal can 11 is tilted by 5 to 30 deg. downward with respect to a flat surface and the tip is located, being aligned with the tip of the protruded seat 11a. |
