PURPOSE:To make the titled recording head adaptable to a hard recording body based on a metal such as a metal drum without using a charge corotron, by forming the main electrode and control electrode of an electrostatic recording head on a plastic film. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic recording head 10 is contituted from a base film 1 comprising polyimide resin, an integrated circuit 2 for a drive circuit fixed on said film, lead electrodes 4 provided with recording electrodes 3 at the leading end parts thereof connected to said circuit 2 at predetermined intervals, control electrodes 6 arranged in parallel to the recording electrodes 3 and connected to said circuit 2 and respective insulating layers 5, 7. Because the leading end of this recording head 10 is attached to a recording body 11 so as to be contacted therewith by proper elastic force and the base film 1 is contacted with said recording body 1 while functioning the same as a leaf spring, said head is not damaged even if the hard recording body is used. In addition, because the control electrode is provided, it is unnecessary to perform charging prior to recording and a charge corotron is eliminated. |
