DRIVING MECHANISM FOR TORCH OF WELDING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a measurement device for the moving distance of a torch and to control easily the driving of the torch by providing a stationary pole of a linear pulse motor along the moving route for the torch and installing the torch to the moving pole of the linear pulse motor. CONSTITUTION:Pulses of the number corresponding to a desired moving distance are supplied to the moving pole 15a of a linear pulse motor 15 in the case of moving a torch 10. Since the driving of the motor 15 is controlled by an open loop in this stage, there is no need for any feedback signal and therefore there is no need for providing any means for measuring the moving distance of the torch 10.
