JOINING METHOD OF SINTERED MEMBER

PURPOSE:To obtain a stable joint surface while preventing the generation of a clearance or slip between the joint surfaces by gnawing hard powder interspersed on the surface to be joined of one member of the sintered members into the other member and subjecting the same to a diffusion treatment prior to press welding of the sintered members to each other. CONSTITUTION:Powder 2 harder than the sintered member 3 to be joined is interspersed on the surface to be joined of a sintered member 1. The member 3 subjected to preliminary sintering at a relatively low temp. is prepd. The surface to be joined of the member 3 is superposed and pressed on the surface to be joined of the member 1. The powder 2 interspersed on the surface of the member 1 is gnawed onto the surface to be joined of the soft member 3. The generation of a clearance and slip between the joint surfaces is thus prevented and the stable joint surface is obtd.
