PURPOSE:To provide the titled adhesive which is excellent in bonding workability and has proper rigidity and dimensional stability in the form of film, consisting of a copolyester. CONSTITUTION:The titled hot-melt adhesive consists of a copolyester having a crystallinity index of 15-40%, a glass transition temp. of 31 deg.C or above and a reduced viscosity of 0.6dl/g or above as measured at a concn. of 0.25g/100ml at 30 deg.C in a solvent mixture of phenol and tetrachloroethane (60:40 by weight) obtd. by reacting a dibasic acid component contg. 70-97mol% of terephthalic acid component with a polyhydric alcohol component composed of 70-97mol% of 1,4-butanediol component, 3-30mol% of diethylene glycol component and 0- 20mol% of a 2-6C other polyhydric alcohol component in the presence of a catalyst. Said adhesive 13 is applied to the opening edges 3, 4 of the upper body 1 and the lower body 2 of a cup-shaped article shaped by sibjecting a metallic material having a primer film thereon to drawing or ironing. The bodies are fitted into each other and the fitted region is heated to effect bonding. |
