An adjustable piece of furniture, preferably for stereo equipment, and comprising two vertical end pieces 1, 2 having horizontal supporting planes for carrying the equipment. The piece of furniture is constructed for packing into a package of small height in a disassembled state, for being easy to assemble, and for being adjustable in both the breadth and the height to the actual equipment. According to the invention, the piece of furniture has end pieces 1, 2 interconnected by cross members 6-9 fastened to the end pieces by means of screwed connections in the end piece frames 3, said cross members having telescoping ends 23 for adjustment of length. The supporting planes for the equipment each comprise two separate horizontal supporting parts 11, fastened to the respective end piece and having the form of telescoping shelves, which have a crosswise extent exceeding the lengthwise adjustment possibility of the cross members. <IMAGE> |
