Imidazo[1,5-a][1,4]diazepine compounds of the formula <IMAGE> in which the symbols <IMAGE>, A, R1, R2 and R3 have the meaning given in Claim 1, analogues thereof as are defined in Claims 2 to 4, and pharmaceutical utilisable acid addition salts of these compounds have useful muscle-relaxant, sedative and anti-convulsive properties. They are particularly suitable for the preparation of injection solutions on account of the good water solubility of their acid addition salts. The compounds are prepared by dehydrogenation of the corresponding 3a,4-dihydro derivatives and optional N-oxidation, reduction or reaction with ethylene oxide or propylene oxide. |
