PURPOSE:To enhance the efficiency of a trace memory to reduce the memory capacity, by adding a slight hardware to a data gathering device to minimize the burden of a computer and making it possible to trace only a specific program. CONSTITUTION:An operation processing device 1, a main storage device 2, and an I/O controller 3 are connected to a common bus 4, and a data gathering device 5 is connected to this bus 4, thus constituting a data gathering system. This device 5 is provided with a data gathering control circuit 6, a data gathering memory 7, a program level register 10, a comparator 11, a trace level register 12, an OR gate 15, etc. An operating program level signal A is stored in the register 10, and the value of the register 12 set by an input device 14 is compared with the level signal A by the comparator 11; and if they coincide with each other, a coincidence signal B is applied to the gate 15. The output of the gate 15 is inputted to the circuit 6 to make it possible to trace only a specific program, and data gathering is indicated on an indicator lamp 13, thus improving the efficiency of the memory 7. |
