PURPOSE:To simplify an original scanning system by rotating a photoreceptor by specific integer times according to copy magnification on every turn of a loop chain. CONSTITUTION:Either of pulleys 8 and 9 is selected by a clutch and the photoreceptor 11 is rotated at a different speed through a wire 17 according to the selected pulleys 8 or 9. A pulley 30', on the other hand, is rotated through wires 15 and 16 to rotate the loop chain 1 accordingly, and a slider 4 slides along a guide bar 5 to allow a scanning mirror fixed to the slider 4 to scan on an original. The loop chain 1 is three times as long as the circumference of the photoreceptor 11; when the chain 1 makes one turn to allow the scanning mirror to move forth and back once, the photoreceptor 11 makes three turns and when a 2/3 reduced copy is taken, the photoreceptor rotates twice in single forward and backward movement of the scanning mirror. An electromagnetic latent image is used three times for life size or twice for reduced size. Thus, the driving system for original scanning is simplified. |
