PURPOSE:To reduce a spring constant near a balance point to zero or a very small amount and to reduce transmission of a vibration to the outside and power consumption of a diametrical electromagnet by disposing a function generator in a control circuit of a diametrical magnetic bearing in a high-speed rotary machine. CONSTITUTION:When a shaft is always rotated with rotational frequency (omega> omega0) higher enough than a sympathy point of a system, an output corresponding to diametrical displacement + or -epsilon synchronized with the rotational frequency omega is sent out from a diametrical displacement sensor 1. The output is passed through a function generator 7 in such a manner that if an output is + or -DELTAV0, a coefficient of input to output conversion is 1/f, and if an output is more than DELTAV0 and less than -DELTAV0, the coefficient of input to output conversion is 1, and then passed through a phase/gain compensation circuit 8. According to the compensated signal, a diametrical electromagnet 5 is driven by an electromagnet driving circuit 4. If a signal output from the sensor 1 is S0sin (wt+psi), and the function generator 7 is set to be DELTAV0>=S0, the equivalent spring constant is 1/f, so that the vibration transmitted to an outer cylinder 6 synchronously with the rotational frequency is 1/f. Further, the power consumption of the diametrical electromagnet is reduced corresponding to the vibration. |
