PURPOSE:To simultaneously perform recording of the 2nd picture and reliable tracking by using a rotary video head, by performing lapped writing on each track of an insert section by using a pilot signal of the 1st picture information while tracking servo is applied. CONSTITUTION:An insert control section 31 turns on the sample holding circuit 35 of a tracking controlling section 30 while a reproducing-recording signal 22 is maintained at a high level and switches a switch 40 to a reproducing terminal d3 side. A head 33A scans the 1st picture information recorded section and reproduces video signals together with pilot signals from each track, and then, gives them to a pilot signal detecting circuit 1. The differential output of an error detect signal from a subtracting circuit 24 is outputted as a tracking signal S3 through the circuit 35. Therefore, a reference pilot signal S2 is obtained when heads 33A and 33B make tracking. When the heads 33A and 33B start the scanning of an insert section, lapped writing of picture information from a video circuit 41 together with the pilot signal from a switch circuit 17 is performed. |
