PURPOSE:To transmit a reception result in stand-by mode to an operator securely by commanding a normal mode by a mode commanding means and controlling output to a display or an output part for the reception result when the output is commanded. CONSTITUTION:A system enters the stand-by mode and a system control part 6 checks a stand-by mode command signal Ps to confirm that the stand-by mode is entered. Then, when a communication control part 5 receives document information in this stand-by mode, the received document and reception result are stored in files I and II of an external storage part 4 and further the reception result is stored in a file III as well. Then, a stand-by switch 8 is turned off to output a normal-mode command signal PN and the power-source connecting/disconnecting circuit 7a of a power source part 9 turns on the power source of the display part 2 and output part 3 to return the system to the normal mode; and the system control part 6 displays the reception result of the document information stored in the file III of the external storage device 4 and received in the stand- by mode on the display part 2. |
