The invention relates to window frames made of plastics material in commercially available manufacturing forms, with a facing consisting of any type of natural wood fixed on the plastics surfaces of the window case and casement(s) which are freely accessible from the closed room and covering said plastics surfaces, in which arrangement the particular window case (1) together with a veneer (2) of the specified natural wood type forms an adhesively-bonded unit, and each casement (3) with a corresponding veneer (2) forms an adhesively bonded unit and/or with a glass pane-surrounding profiled strip of corresponding solid natural wood (4) forms a unit which is screwed together or connected by means of a plastic/metal push-button system. The profiled strip of natural wood can at the same time be made as a component of the clamping cleat (5) or as the cleat (5) itself. <IMAGE>
