PURPOSE:To provide a heat sensitive recording material imparting a color image excellent in stability, oil resistance, fat resistance, plasticizer resistance and solvent resistance, obtained by using sulfonic anhydride and an acid anhydride mixuture of sulfonic acid and carboxylic acid as a coupler to a leuco dye. CONSTITUTION:As a coupler to a leuco dye [e.g., 3-(N-cyclohexyl-N-methylamino)-6-methyl-7-anilinofluorane], sulfonic anhydride (e.g., p-toluenesulfonic anhydride) and an acid anhydride mixture of sulfonic acid and carboxylic acid (e.g., benzoyl-p-toluenesulfonate) are used and these components are contained along with a binder such as PVA, a filter, a surfactant, a lubricant and an oxidation inhibitor to form a coating liquid for forming a heat sensitive layer. This coating liquid is applied to a support such as paper and dried to obtain an objective recording material. In this case, the ratio to be used of the coupler is pref. 1-5pts.wt. to one pts.wt. of the leuco dye. This recording material is suitable for a heat sensitive recording type label sheet and heat sensitive recording type magnetic ticket paper. |
