PURPOSE:To prevent the galling of dies, and the curving and wrinkling of a product in the stage of pressing a flat plate to a U-shaped section and changing the shape of a web surface by molding the flat material in the stage of closing the stretch-flange face and shirnk-flange face in the dies. CONSTITUTION:A work W1 like a flat plate is grasped by a punch 10 and a pad 11, and is folded between a pair of dies 12 and 12, by which an intermediate product W2 having a U-shaped section and a straight web surface is pressed. Such product W2 is placed on a pad 18 between dies 20, and a punch 16 is lowered to form the change part 15 of a web 13. A flange 14 is confined between the outside lateral face of the punch 16 and the inside lateral face of the die 20, whereby curving and wrinkling are prevented. |
