A device for use as a remedy against male impotence comprises a tubular element 1 of flexible material having a base end with an external flange 2 including an annular groove carrying an elastic ring 9, a bore portion 5, and a longitudinal radial slit 8 through at least the flange and the bore portion. The tubular element has a bore part 7 adjacent the free end of the element having a larger average cross section than that of the bore portion. Several embodiments are disclosed in which the portion 5 is circular or elliptical in cross section and the bore part 7 is frosto-conic or cylindrical. The bore portion 5 and part 7 may be linked by tapering sections 6 and both ends of the tubular element may taper away from the ends. Flexible projections may be provided externally on the tubular element. A suspensory appliance comprising a belt carrying a member with a hole (19) in which the tubular element is inserted and a support part (20) with heating elements, is disclosed. Calibrating rings are used to determine the size of device required. |
