PURPOSE:To prepare a hollow yarn membrane having a large quantity of gas transmission and super selectivity by coating silylated polyallylene oxide as clogging and covering material over the porous hollow fiber. CONSTITUTION:A porous hollow membrane is spun by the process known to the public. The silylated polyallylene oxide is applied to the hollow fiber as clogging and covering material. The said silylated polyallylene oxide is used in the concentration of 0.01-10wt% by utilizing a solvent giving no damage to the hollow fiber. The time of dipping is preferably shorter than 1min. The dipped hollow yarn membrane is dried, - at lease its surface is dried, by the non-contact type drier. The drying temperature is within the range of 30-100 deg.C. The said membrane can be utilized for various kinds of gas separation and concentration, particularly for oxygen enriched membrane commercially.
