<p>PURPOSE:To compose a differential transformer with improved accuracy and linearity by combining multiple stages of miniture differential transformers. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of high permeability portions 601-60n and a plurality of low permeability portions 411-41n are arranged alternately to form a moving member 40. Corresponding to each combination of this arrangement, three series- wound secondary coils 201-203 and 301-303 are provided to every differential connection. These secondary coils 201-203 and 301-303 are connected differentially as a whole and each of them is so arranged to corresponding to the portions 601-60n and 411-41n. In other words, this arrangement is equivalent to the multi-step combination of miniture differential transformers. With this constitution, a differential transformer with improved accuracy and linearity can be obtained. In this case, three secondary coils are series-connected but the more the numbers of coils are connected in this manner, the more the improved linearity is obtained.</p> |
