PURPOSE:To adjust and to inspect accurately and easily excitation condition of a radiation element, by setting a measuring antenna in the Fresnel zone of an array antenna to be measured, and changing the excitation condition of each radiation element to actual radiation condition. CONSTITUTION:A measuring antenna 1 is set in a prescribed position on a measurement reference line 101, and the radiation electric field near an array antenna to be measured before and after the time of changing an equivalent exciting current of a radiation element 9-i are received by the antenna 1, and these received electric fields, a preliminarily set coefficient of excitation condition of the element 9-i, and the coefficient of radiation propagation are inputted to an element excitation condition calculating means 8 to calculate and output an equivalent exciting current Ii and a radiation characteristic Di of the element 9-i. This measuring procedure is applied to other radiation elements to calculate and output Di and Ii of all radiation elements 9-1-9-N through the means 8. |
