PURPOSE:To enable to dry a substance to be dried efficiently, by raising the temperature of process air with no use of superfluous energy by causing sensible-heat exchange between process air used for drying the substance to be dried and high-temperature regenerating air used for regenerating a rotary type latent heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:Process air A1 is at first introduced into a sensible heat exchanger 8 while regenerating air B2 heated by a heat source 7 and passed through a rotary type latent heat exchanger 1 is also introduced into the sensible heat exchanger 8. Therefore, heat is exchanged between the process air A1 and the regenerating air B2, and the process air A1 the temperature of which is raised and the regenerating air B2 the temperature of which is lowered are discharged from the heat exchanger 8. Then, the process air A2 is carried into the rotary type latent heat exchanger 1 and dehumidified by a humidity absorbing agent while passing through the heat exchanger 1. Further, since heat of humidity absorption and heat of moisture condensation are produced when moisture is absorbed by the humidity absorbing agent, the temperature of process air A2 is further raised. Thus, since process air A3 sufficiently dehumidified and heated to a high temperature is supplied to a substance to be dried, the substance can be dried promptly. |
