The present invention relates to foundry work. The upset-forming machine comprises a frame 1 onto which is fastened a base 2 and is mounted an intermediate carrier element 3 and two dies 4, 4a. Each of the dies 4, 4a is equipped with a mechanism 8, 8a ensuring its longitudinal displacement over an intermediate carrier element 3 and is fastened to the spacer 7, 7a solidly attached to the mechanism 8, 8a. The mechanism 8, 8a consists of a rack 11, 11a and four thrust devices (pushers) 12, 12a. Each thrust device (pusher) 12, 12a possesses, on its outer surface, a bearing thread which meshes with the inner thread of a gear 13, 13a whose outer teeth mesh with the teeth of the rack 11, 11a. One of the racks 11 is intended to provide the link with the rod 23 of a control jack and comprises a link 25 which is connected cinematically with the other rack 11a.
