Dispatch container of large dimensions made of fibre panels of a type which can be folded after use in order to be returned to a dispatch area where it may be used again. In place of the usual pallet, made of wood or plastic material, which forms the base of the container, a solid or corrugated sheet of fibres is provided whose free edges extend towards the outside of the body of the container in order to form a part of its bottom wall and a means of cooperating with a fork-lift truck. The lower portion of the vertical walls 13 of the container cooperates with a reinforcing element 12 in order to withstand forces, directed towards the outside, caused by fluid or granular loads. <IMAGE>
