A gas bubble trap for a multi-colour ink jet recorder head (7) with a nozzle plate (8) is arranged between this head with the ink channels (9) and a flange (10) with the ink supply ports (11). The trap consists of an elastomer disc (1) with cut-outs for the various inks. A screen mesh (6) is embedded throughout the one face of the disc and thus creates a reliable seal across the joint. This eliminates any leakage between the paths of various colours of ink.
