PURPOSE:To obtain a joint part having a mechanical property equivalent to that of a base material and high dimensional accuracy by heating a material to be joined to a prescribed joining temp., exerting a pressurizing force on the joint surfaces and controlling the pressurization so that a straining speed is kept in a prescribed range. CONSTITUTION:A joint part consisting of 13Cr steel is heated to about 1,050 deg.C and the lower and upper limits of the adequate pressurizing force on the joint surfaces are controlled to about 1 and 2kg/mm.<2> to keep the corresponding straining speed within a range of 2X10<-4>-5X10<-4> per minute and to suppress the rate of deformation of the object to be joined at about 10%, whereby the joining is completed and the thoroughly satisfactory Charpy value is obtd. The pressurizing force or straining speed is decreased and the time for holding the pressurization is extended in order to suppress the degree of deformation to the much smaller degree. The deformation of the material to be joined is thus controlled freely without spoiling the mechanical property of the joint part. This method is applicable to Cr-Mo steel and other kind of steel as well and the straining speed to be adjusted under the joining temp. is kept within a range of 2X10<-5>-5X10<-4> per minute. |
