PURPOSE:To reduce the size and weight of a converter device by providing a switch circuit for distributing the output voltage of a transformer in synchronization with the switching of positive and negative of AC input, thereby reducing the capacity of a reactor or an inverter. CONSTITUTION:The output of a DC power source 1 is applied through a DC input filter 2 to an inverter unit 3, and the output is applied through a transformer 6 to a switch circuit 7. The thyristors 7a-7h of the circuit 7 are fired in the prescribed sequence in synchronization with the rectangular AC supplied to the primary winding of the transformer 6. The output of the circuit 7 is led through an AC filter 8. |
