PURPOSE:To permit edge preparation by installing one pipe chuck and the other chuck which is fitted onto the first pipe chuck and holds a pipe at right angles to said pipe chuck, and allowing the direction of the pipe to be changed. CONSTITUTION:A main spindle 7 onto which a tool rest 4 for three kinds of operations such as cutting, boring, and edge preparation is installed and revolved and a supporting metal 13 are installed at one edge of a base 3, and a swivel base 14 which is turned from the front towards the side of the main spindle 7, the first pipe chuck 21 which is supported by said swivel base 14 and advanced and retreated by a feed means 20, and the second pipe chuck which is fitted onto the first chuck 21 and holds a pipe 9 at right angles to the first chuck 21 are installed onto the other edge of the base 3. Therefore, a cutter is installed by means of the main spindle 7 and the supporting metal 13, and the pipe 9 is held by the first chuck 21, and then rotation of the cutter and pipe feed are carried-out, and thus cutting work for the pipe is permitted. |
