PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to provide an error lamp additionally and to display a reliable diagnostic result by using the lamp of a function key as the error lamp during diagnosis. CONSTITUTION:When an electric power source switch is turned on, a diagnostic program stored in an ROM 102 is started. A processor 105 outputs address signals allotted to driving circuits 101a-3-101h-3 for turning on lamps to an address bus ABS and also outputs all-1 data to a data bus DBS. Consequently, all lamps 101a-2-101h-2 turn on. Then, the processor 105 starts various diagnoses under the control of the diagnostic program. When the diagnostic result shows normalcy, the lamps 101a-101h turn off. When it is decided that, for example, an ROM 102 is abnormal, the lamp 101a-2 does not turn on. |
