PURPOSE:To attain to miniaturize the electronic circuit device for a timepiece and to reduce current consumption, by supplying a current and voltage each having a predetermined value outputted by the current source circuit to the electronic circuit for the timepiece formed of an insulating gate type FET having a gate insulating film with a thickness of a predetermined value or less. CONSTITUTION:The thickness of the gate insulating oxide film of the insulating gate type FET for constituting the circuit 2 of a timepiece is adjusted to 500Angstrom or less and the channel length between a drain and a source and the width of each region of the drain and the source can be reduced to miniaturize the FET. At the same time, the threshold value of FET is lowered by thinning the insulating oxide film and the circuit 2 is driven by constant-voltage fallen by the constant-current source circuit 4 connected between a DC power source 3 and the circuit 2 and a current held to a predetermined value by said circuit 4 to also reduce current consumption. By this mechanism, the miniaturization of the electronic circuit device for the timepiece and the reduction of current consumption can be achieved. |
