The clamping head is used in extracting piles or canal reinforcement members. The clamp has bracket with fixed jaws whose inclined sides guide movable clamping pad pair. These pads are held in upper rest position by holders. A relatively simple mechanism ensures automatic releasing of pads which are then held in rest position. The bracket (1) has a blind hole (11) below clamping pads (2, 3) for holding a spring and bolt (12) at right angles to the extraction direction. The projection bolt supports the pads (2, 3) at rest. This bolt is pushed back into the hole by an actuating lever and the pads slide down. The bolt is covered and held by the pads sliding downwards. |
