PURPOSE:To improve positioning precision and to reduce a picture shift by positioning and processing a recording material on the basis of a clock higher in frequency than when other control is performed. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive drum driving motor 2 is driven through a motor driver 3 according to a control signal from the output port OP1 of a CPU1 to generate a clock CLK1 of high frequency corresponding to the rotation of a photosensitive drum as the recording material through a clock pulse generator 4, pulse detector 5, etc. This clock CLK1 is divided by a frequency divider 7 into a low-frequency clock CLK2 and control other than the positioning of the photosensitive drum is performed through the CPU1 on the basis of the clock CLK2. The clock CLK1, on the other hand, is allowed to be inputted to the CPU1 when an original read by the moving position sensor 9 of an original read optical system is started, and the photosensitive drum is positioned with high precision on the basis of this high-frequency clock CLK1 to reduce the picture position shift. |
