PURPOSE:To aim at reduction of weight and simplification of manufacturing, by integrally connecting a shaft portion of light alloy and a cam surface member which is formed in substantially annular shape with thin hard materials such as iron by casting. CONSTITUTION:A shaft portion 2 is made of aluminium alloy, and is provided with a bearing portion 2a. A cam surface member 3a formed of an annular sheet steel is disposed in a mold for die casting, and then molten aluminium alloy for the shaft portion 2 poured into the mold to solidify same, thus filling same on a base side of the cam surface member 3a so as to manufacture a cam shaft 1. |
