PURPOSE:To screen magnetic flux of a signal generator in a simple construction by fixing a screening board to screen the leaked magnetic flux from an ignition coil inside a distributor housing and fitting the signal generator at the screening board. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical screening board 17 is fixed in a distributor housing 11 with screws 20 to make a shelter space A to screen the leaked magnetic flux from an ignition coil 6. Each signal generator 18, 21 of the corresponding signal rotors 15, 16 are fixed to the screen board 17 by screws 19 respectively. When a shaft 12 is rotated, an ignition signal is generated at the first signal generator 18 by the first signal rotor 15 and this ignition signal is sent to an ignition coil 6 via an igniter 8 and at the ignition coil 6, high voltage is induced by intermittence of the ignition signal. Since the leaked magnetic flux is screened by the screening board 17, the first signal generator 18 is free from the influence of the leaked magnetic flux B from the ignition coil. |
