Foundry manufacture of castings made from metal alloys which are oxidisable at high temperature. The alloy is prepared in a closed electric furnace 1 with a graphite bar 7, under an inert gas atmosphere, a mould 2 is applied in leaktight contact on a casting conduit 11 of the furnace and the metal alloy is introduced into the mould 2 from the bottom upwards under the driving pressure of the inert gas contained in the furnace 1. Application to the manufacture of castings intended for hot working, made from superalloys and refractory alloys. <IMAGE>
