Method for drilling, boring and scouring solid materials such as rocks, in which method there is directed at these materials, by means of an ejection nozzle, a high-pressure liquid jet into which there is introduced upstream of the ejection nozzle a gas that is insoluble in this liquid under the conditions of temperature and pressure occurring downstream of the nozzle, characterised in that the said gas and the said liquid consist of a vapour and of its superheated condensate respectively.
