PURPOSE:To reproduce a neutral tint of high fidelity with a simple constitution, by compensating all bits corresponding to the half tone bits to difference colors in case the remaining bits have the same color after detecting a half tone bit and delivering the black or white color with no compensation in the case of different colors. CONSTITUTION:The signals read through a scanner part 1 are applied to a binary coding part 2 and a half tone discriminating part 9, and the output of the part 2 is stored in a buffer part 3 containing a memory of a fixed bit length in black and white signals. At the same time, the discriminating part 9 detects a half tone bit produced by the ternary logic from a line signal to store it in a half tone storage part 4. In addition, the output of a control part 8 is applied to the part 4, and the output of the part 4 is applied to a pattern generating part 6. Then the bits corresponding to the half tone bits are all compensated into different colors in case all bits have the same color when a half tone bit is detected in a fixed bit. Then a black or white color that is decided by the level of the half tone bit is delivered with no compensation in case remaining bits have different colors. Thus the constitution is simplified for a half tone processor of facsimile. |
