For the deployable sensor system to receive and/or transmit electromagnetic waves in the microwave range for droppable devices and submunition of high packing density in a carrier system, it is proposed to arrange the sensor in a foldable envelope inflatable by means of a propellant, the sensor being positioned by the envelope during inflation, and if appropriate the positioning being maintained in a stable state by means of three holding cables fastened uniformly to the circumference of the droppable device.
