PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of a temperature distribution due to a misuse exceeding an optimum range by a method wherein the optimum range of airflow direction upon cooling or heating can be determined by the operating sense of the hand of an operator. CONSTITUTION:The blow-off port 3 of the main body of the air conditioner is provided rotatably with an airflow direction changing plate 6, extending lengthwisely and dividing an airflow direction changing range into a cooling area and a heating area, while a cam 8 is attached to one end of the rotating shaft of the airflow direction changing plate 6. A spring member 9, pushing the cam 8 into the axial direction thereof, is provided and a contacting surface between the cam 8 and the spring member 9 is provided with a hole or a stepped part 8b while the location of the hole or the stepped part 8b becomes a borderline between the cooling area and the heating area. It is recognized by the hand of the operator that a range from the upper part to the location of the hole or the stepped part of the cam is the optimum range when the airflow changing plate is deflected to the direction upon cooling or heating and, especially, when cool air is being blown off upon cooling. The airflow direction of the cool air or the warm air may be set arbitrarily, a misoperation will never be effected and a good air-conditioning effect may be obtained. |
