A pressure regulator (R) to be fitted on a valve (V) of a gas cylinder has a locking means comprising a pin (P) located in aligned holes in the wall (W1 and W2) of the pressure regulator body. The inner end of the pin (P) has a flat upper surface (F) and an outwardly curved or rounded profile (C). A spring (S) biases the pin (P) inwardly. As the regulator (R) is located over the valve (V), the pin (P) is pressed outwardly by the tapered surface (T) on the upper end of the valve body engaging the curved or rounded profile (C) of the pin. Thereafter the pin (P) moves back inwardly and engages a flat surface below the collar or flange on the valve body. <IMAGE> |
