PURPOSE:To prevent the unclear display of letters and marks due to the upheaval of the peripheral edge of melted portion when lasers is continuously irradiated by a method in which lasers is irradiated in a dotted form onto the surface of a resin to melt or denature the irradiated portion of the resin for displaying the letters or marks. CONSTITUTION:Lasers beam from a lasers source 7 including a deflecting means for X and Y direction is parallelized in an optical system, passed through the light-transmissive window 11 of a mask 10, focused by an optical system 9, and then irradiated onto faces (m) to be displayed. In this case, lasers which is given off from the lasers source 7 is on-off controlled for every fixed time, and lasers 12 passing through the window 11 of the mask 10 is focused on the faces to be displayed for displaying letters or symbols. |
