The measurement arrangement has at least one sensor (1) which rotates proportionally to the speed of the vehicle (2). The time to complete at least part of a rotation is measured and converted (3) into a speed value. The speed value is converted (4) into a braking distance taking into account at least one vehicle parameter by an element with a device (5) for changing the specification of the vehicle parameter. The element drives a display device (6) showing the braking distance. The arrangement can have sensor of the distance to the vehicle in front. USE/ADVANTAGE - Presents driver with additional information to allow him to assess driving situation.
