PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing fiber cord for a transmission belt which has particularly excellent transmission performances and belt running life, and to provide a transmission belt reinforced with the cord. SOLUTION: The reinforcing fiber cord for the transmission belt is composed of bulk textured yarns of multifilament yarns of fibers in which 95 mol% or more of repeating units are composed of a polyketone represented by formula (1), wherein the bulked yarn is a fluid jet-textured yarn.
