PURPOSE:To clamp molds with a small drive force in a short time by a method in which a coupling ring is provided to the periphery of a fixed mold for a fixed board, a locking cylinder is provided to a cylinder tube to be housed with a piston fitted with a movable mold, and these are coupled with each other. CONSTITUTION:The cylinder tube 24, cylinder cover 25, and cylinder body 8 of a clamping cylinder 6 and retracted in relation to a piston 23, the back face of each coupling projection 8a of the cylinder body is pressingly contacted with the front face of each coupling projection 4a of the coupling cylinder 4, and the piston 23 is moved toward the front side of the axial direction in such a way as to match the movable mold with the fixed mold 12 for fitting. By driving the cylinder 22 for driving a rack, the molds are clamped by turning the coupling ring 4 through the rack 20. |
