PURPOSE:To decrease breakage in assembly and make possible efficient and stabilized operation for a long time by installing an electrolyte layer between a negative substrate comprising a thick porous carbon plate and a positive substrate comprising a thin plate, and making adhere a positive material gas flowing groove comprising a strong stacked element to a positive electrode. CONSTITUTION:A thick porous carbon plate is used as a negative substrate 20. A flowing path groove 21 of a negative active material gas mainly comprising hydrogen is installed on one side of the substrate 20 to keep storage function of an acidic electrolyte, and an electrode catalyst layer 24 is set on the otherside to form a negative substrate 27, and an electrode catalyst layer 28 is dispersed to form a positive electrode 29. An electrode layer 26 containing acidic electrolyte is placed between the negative electrode 25 and the positive electrode 29. A stacked element 31 comprising high density carbon plate whose one side is made adhere is placed on the surface of the positive electrode 29. The stacked element 31 has a flowing path groove, partitioned by a wide bank 39 installed in the center, and having a groove opening edge 51 and a groove bottom corner 52 formed so as to have a arc-shaped cross section, for oxidizing gas acting as a positive active material. |
