PURPOSE:To enable build-up welding of the inside surface of a cylinder having a small diameter by feeding a hoop from the axial direction of the cylinder which is the material to be build-up welded, changing the direction on the way, and supplying the hoop with the transverse direction thereof in parallel with the axial direction of the cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A contact jaw 15 of a welding head is mated with the position where the circumferential welding of the inside surface of a cylinder is started. The width direction of a jaw 15 is made approximately parallel with the axial direction of the cylinder. When a feed motor 4 is driven, a hoop sandwiched by a feed roll and a press roll 7 is pulled and is conducted along a stanchion 1 by a hoop guide 14, then the hoop is twisted by a hoop guide 13 and is changed perpendicularly in the direction, whereby the hoop is supplied to the jaw 15. On the other hand, welding current is conducted from a transformer through a power feed zone 20 and the jaw 15 to the hoop. |
