PURPOSE:To obtain a flanged and wound bush bearing having no defective part on the flange by one press working by using a wound bush having outer peripheral face or inner peripheral face of the end part uniformly tapered off to the end. CONSTITUTION:The outer peripheral face or inner peripheral face of the end part of a wound bush is tapered off uniformly to the end, and the outer peripheral part of the cylinder except the tapered part is pressed uniformly in the direction of the center of the cylinder and restrained. This tapered wound bush is pressed in the axial direction, and the tapered part is folded outward. In this folding process, the outer peripheral end face of the folded part is restrained by a peripheral face smaller in size than the radially folded width to generate pressing force directed to the center of the cylinder in the flange part being formed and generates a plastic flow there. By this way, a flanged and wound bush having no defective part on the flange surface is manufactured. |
