PURPOSE:To simplify constitution of a device by providing plural areas on a position prescribed in advance on a business form, displaying selectively and uniformly a character on each area to store a uniformly displayed character pattern in a dictionary memory and comparing both of them to recognize the character. CONSTITUTION:A read part 7, a data compressing part 10, a communication control part 12 and a modulating and demodulating device 13 are provided on a facsimile device 1, and a circuit 15 is connected to the device 13. Also, a data reloading part 16 is connected to the control part 12, a recording part 22 and a numeral recognizing part 14 are connected to this reloading part 16 through a changeover switch 17, a data processing part 32 is connected to the recognizing part 14, and the compressing part 10 and the storage part 22 are connected to the processing part 32. Subsequently, the plural areas are provided on the position prescribed in advance on an original 33 having an inputted numeral and a character is displayed selectively and uniformly on each area. Also, the character pattern to be represented is stored in the dictionary memory 27 of the recognizing part 14, the character is recognized by comparing both representations by a CPU31 to simplify the constitution of the device 1. |
