PURPOSE:To match the effective length of an internal circuit to 1/4 wavelength depending on the length of the dielectric by placing the dielectric to the internal circuit of a choke plunger main body. CONSTITUTION:The choke plunger main body 12 is inserted between an outer conductor 10 and an inner conductor 11 forming a coaxial feeder. In the choke plunger main body 12, three kinds of metal-made cylinders 28a-28c are arranged coaxially, they are fixed together at a tip 16 and a prolonged part 15 to fit a drive rod 14 is provided fixedly to the other end of the metal-made cylinder 26b. A cylindrical dielectric 40 is inserted and fixed in the vicinity of the opening of an inner circuit 20. The dielectric 40 is made of a fluororesin and its length is selected as l3. Through the constitution above, the phase velocity of an electromagnetic wave is retarded in the dielectric 40 and the wavelength is shorter than the wavelength in vacuum. Thus, in selecting the length l3 of the dielectric 40 properly, the effective length of the internal circuit 20 with respect to high frequencies is matched to a 1/4 wavelength.
