Process for the production of granular detergents containing fatty acid alkanolamides

Detergents containing fatty acid alkylolamides are produced by mixing the powdered fatty acid alkylolamide initially with 5 times to 40 times the amount of a basic powder consisting of builder salts or (preferably) sodium perborate, and subsequently spraying and granulating this mixture with 0.1 times to 3 times the amount (based on fatty acid alkylolamide) of liquid or molten non-ionic surfactants. The resulting free-flowing granules are mixed with customary powdered detergents obtained by spray drying. This procedure avoids decomposition of the alkylolamide during hot spray drying and achieves uniform distribution in the powder mixture.
