A device for controlling the exposure in the production of photographic colour images, which possesses a photoelectric measuring device (9), which divides up the total image into image points and which for each image point delivers separate density values for the three primary colours to an evaluation station (13), and an exposure device (17, 18) controlled by the evaluation station, for the image light beam, is to be designed in such a manner that its measuring device requires no moving parts or complicated thrust control systems, and that light changes which are dependent upon the lamp employed are automatically corrected. To this end, it is provided according to the invention that the measuring device (9) exhibits a partially reflecting mirror (6) which divides up the image light beam (4) into an exposure light beam (7) and a measurement light beam (8), and a measuring plate (11), which is provided, for each image point, with a three-colour set of photo receivers and onto which a parallel image is cast by means of an auxiliary optical imaging system (10) situated in the measurement light beam (8). <IMAGE>
